It can be installed on a home or small business router to give it all the features needed for taking care of routing voice calls over the Internet.
According to Brian Fowler, the CTO at VoiceGlo, the system doesn't even need a PC if you've got the right VoIP equipment that connects to the router. However, the company will a Web-based softphone program so that all PCs on the network can become phone extensions. The Internet PBX will create up to 254 "phone lines" per router.

Calls in or out to the plain old telephone system (POTS) would require a service plan through VoiceGlo. Current plans range from as little as $39.99 per year plus a small charge for outbound calls, to $24.99 per month for unlimited calling in the United States and Canada. All Voiceglo plans have access to extremely low international calling rates.

Using Voiceglo’s patent-pending “peering” technologies, offices on different floors, in different regions and in different countries can be connected to each other for free and become part of a company-wide system.

Employees outside of the office can become part of the intercom network and use it from any Internet connection anywhere in the world for free.
Voiceglo is reportedly working with a vendor to make a 2.4GHz wireless digital phone set. It won't be 802.11 based, just a cordless phone, but one shielded to prevent interference with Wi-Fi devices.

PABX REVIEW
